INTRODUCING... THE team of many talents
Dates for your diary Thank you to everyone who supported our October show at the Festival Theatre, Hyde Details of future events will be posted here
Limelight Theatre Company
The establishment of a non-profit making voluntary Youth Theatre at
St Hilda's, Audenshaw was the joint idea of Allan Walker and Father John, back in 2003. Both have worked or volunteered for various theatres and schools in recent years, in both a professional and advisory capacity and felt that they could provide a truly professional service to the students of Tameside.
Every penny we raise from subscriptions and ticket sales goes back into making each performance bigger and better!
It is hoped that students who show an aptitude for the performing arts could attend Limelight Theatre Arts and access real practical skills and academic knowledge that would support the work they do in these areas at their own school or college.
Allan has a long established career as a teacher of Drama and Music. He has written, produced and directed several original productions and seen his work performed at Glossopdale Community College, Hyde Festival Theatre, Egerton Park Arts College, Two Trees High School, Denton West End Primary School, Tameside Hippodrome, and The Lowry Centre and on Channel 5 television.
Dee Wilson, along with Father John and Allan Walker is a co-founder of Limelight; she is also the group's on-site qualified First-Aider.
